My spray gun is not spraying correctly. On the top of the spray pattern, the fan pattern is very heavy. On the bottom of the fan pattern, the spray is very light. This problem causes stripes in my finish color. I don’t know how to fix the problem. Please help.
There are two probable causes for the problem. First, make sure the atomization air holes are open and clean. These holes are located next to the fluid tip and needle on the air cap. If this does not solve the problem, remove the needle from the gun body. Inspect the needle to see if it is damaged or bent. If it is, it will cause the problem described. Install a new needle in the gun and the problem will most likely be resolved. It is always best to replace the fluid nozzle at the same time that you replace the needle.
